
The health and safety of all associated with the PGA TOUR and our global community continues to be our No. 1 priority. The DICK’S Sporting Goods Open, along with PGA TOUR Champions, State of New York, Broome County and other Local Officials will continue to evaluate the extensive set of COVID-19 health and safety measures developed in conjunction with CDC guidelines in order to promote a safe environment and quality experience on the golf course.
PLEASE READ OUR COVID-19 SPECIFIC POLICIES BELOW
RESTRICTED ATTENDANCE: In an effort to allow for social distancing while in a environment where spectators can view golf and any ancillary events we will be restricting our capacity to 4,999 spectators per day. WE WILL NOT ALLOW THE GENERAL PUBLIC ON-SITE MONDAY AND TUESDAY.
CLEAR & EFFECTIVE SPECTATOR PROTOCOL: All messaging to spectators will follow the State of New York, Broome County and PGA TOUR guidelines and recommendations. These efforts include appropriate signage, encouragement to regularly wash hands, social distancing, crowd mitigation, regular sterilization of public areas and hospitality structures, and recommendations to wear face coverings with appropriate PPE being made available, if needed.
PRIOR TO ARRIVAL: All spectators are encouraged to take their own temperature and review the CDC’s symptom questionnaire before departing their home. If spectator’s temperature is 100.4 degrees or higher, please seek medical advice and do not attend.
FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE PLAN: Food and Beverage will be provided in conjunction with our caterer American Food & Vending. There will be no buffets utilized and all meals will be provided in grab-n-go containers American Food & Vending will be adhering to New York State Catering Guidelines.
MOBILE TICKETING & SCANNING: All tickets will be sent via the Ticketmaster mobile ticketing platform creating a touchless entry environment. Additionally, by utilizing this platform we are able to maintain accurate data in the need that contact tracing becomes necessary.
CASHLESS TRANSACTIONS: Major credit cards will be accepted at the Main Concession. Non-cash transactions are recommended. In order to minimize transactions, Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s tickets are inclusive of food and beverage to eliminate concessions transactions completely. An ATM will available on the Main Concourse.
PUBLIC BLEACHERS: For the safety of our guests, public bleachers have been eliminated from the 2021 DICK’S Sporting Goods Open.
SHUTTLES: For the safety of our guests, shuttles have been eliminated from the 2021 DICK’S Sporting Goods Open.
RESTROOMS: All restrooms on course will be thoroughly cleaned routinely. Door handles, toilet seats and toilet paper dispensers will be wiped down on the inside and outside of each stall. Sinks will be wiped down and soap will be replaced.
CROWD MITIGATION: Fan Safety Ambassadors will help mitigate crowds in and around the Admission Tent, Clubhouse, hospitality areas and other high traffic gathering locations.
FACE MASKS / COVERINGS: To provide a safe environment for all, masks will be required to current New York State, Broome County Health Department and PGA TOUR regulations for both indoors and outdoor use.
FIRST AID: United Health Services will be onsite to offer First Aid for any individual who requires medical attention throughout Tournament Week.
ROPE LINE: Spectators are not permitted to consume food or beverage within 10ft. of the rope line. Spectators can carry / hold their food & beverage in hand, but not actively consume.
SANITIZERS: Stationary hand sanitizer units will be placed throughout the golf course and within hospitality areas. Over 70 hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the facility.
SOCIAL DISTANCING: Once on-site, spectators will be asked to maintain a six-foot separation from other individuals, unless the party has arrived together. We ask that all guests please use proper social responsibility and common sense.
STERILIZATION: All venues and equipment will include sterilization protocol routinely throughout the day and a thorough cleaning nightly by a COVID-19 sanitation crew whose sole purpose is to keep the participants safe.
TOURNAMENT MERCHANDISE: A limited amount of DICK’S Sporting Goods Open and 50th Anniversary merchandise will be available for purchase within the facility. All major credit cards will be accepted. Non-cash transactions are recommended.
AUTOGRAPHS: For the safety of the players and gallery members alike, autographs will be prohibited at the 2021 DICK’S Sporting Goods Open.
PROOF OF TESTING / VACCINATION: We are currently following CDC Guidelines to require unvaccinated individuals to wear a mask.
