ENDICOTT, New York – The Board of Directors of Broome County Community Charities, Inc. is proud to announce their 2020 charitable donations.
Annual donations which historically have been tied to professional golf tournaments in Broome County were in doubt with the cancellation of the DICK’S Sporting Goods Open due to COVID-19.
Through the support of individual sponsors and new fundraising initiatives such as our 1st Annual Drive-Thru Chicken BBQ and “Community Charites Campaign” we were able to raise funds to benefit those Charitable Organizations that would normally receive funding as a result of the DICK’S Sporting Goods Open.
“With so many needs this year I am humbled by the outpouring of support from our community,” said Albert Nocciolino, President of Broome County Community Charities. “It is because of the strength of our community support that we are able to still give back in a year without a tournament,” Nocciolino added.
The 2021 DICK’S Sporting Goods Open, which will be played as part of the PGA TOUR Champions’ combined 2020-21 calendar due to COVID-19, returns to En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott, New York, the week of June 28 – July 4, with a purse of $2,050,000 and all three rounds broadcast live on the GOLF Channel.
